SERVING THE LAKELAND AREA
The Minocqua Gun Club is a nonprofit 501(c)(7) sports club run by a board of directors consisting of 10 volunteers. This group, along with help from many of the club's members, provides activities and learning opportunities in shooting sports, such as trap shooting, to the people of the Lakeland area.
FOCUS ON AREA YOUTH
Our main focus is to provide learning opportunities to the youth in our area. We provide a junior trap experience for 10 to 17-year-old students during the summer months. We are able to do this free of charge. We also host the Lakeland Union High School trap team and provide 2 $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors.
FUN AND LEARNING
While safety is the most important part of the target shooting experience, so is having fun. One-on-one and small group instructional opportunities are available to adults interested in first-time shooting or improving their shooting skills. When a shooter is comfortable with their abilities they may choose to join one of our leagues. The leagues are open to all abilities and provide a social environment for having fun. Check our latest news and calendar pages for more.
REQUIREMENTS FOR 10-17 YEAR OLDS
Any youth under 18 wishing to shoot at our club must have a hunter safety certificate. If they are 16 and under a parent must also be present.
