Whether you're a beginner or an experienced clay shooter, Minocqua Gun Club has something to offer you.The public is welcome to shoot at our trap and skeet ranges. Stop by and check us out! You can contact us by phone at 715-358-3476 or click on the contact tab at the top of the page if you would like to send an email. If your group is planning a visit to the Minocqua area and looking for an activity that everyone can participate in, we'd be glad to host your outing. We offer youth and adult gun/hunter education opportunities during our summer season. Check back frequently to find out when these opportunities are scheduled. We also have a new rifle/pistol range available to members.

Tuesdays from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Thursdays from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

(The Range is not plowed in the winter.)

Skeet Seminar 
The Minocqua Gun Club will be hosting a skeet seminar on July 10 at 1:30 for anyone interested in learning or improving their skeet shooting.  There will be 2 instructors available.  The cost will be $8 if you bring your own shells or $18 if you purchase 12 or 20 gauge shells from us.  There is a limit of 20 participants so email us if interested.  This email address is being protected from spambots.  The new membership year is about to start on May 1, 2022.   If you haven't yet renewed your membership, please do it soon to take advantage of the benefits it offers.  Membership prices have not changed this year!  
Also, we do have shells for sale.  $10 per box.  They will only be sold to those who plan on shooting them at the club.  

Here are more important dates:  

Junior Trap starts on Wednesday, May 4 at 5:00 and runs through July 10. 

 Unfortunately, there will be no hunter safety class offered at this time.  We hope to offer it in the fall.  Please check back to this site for updates.

Senior League starts Tuesday, May 10 at 5:00 and runs to Aug. 23 The cost is $12 per person per night. $192 to be paid in full on the first night. You must be a member to join. Get your 5 person team together (see attached form), or let us know if you want to shoot but don't have a team. We'll put you on one.
August 30th will be the annual meeting.
Fall League starts Sept 6.

 Information to obtain a hunter safety certificate on-line is linked below.  A field day for online classes is part of the requirement.  A link to scheduling this is also below.  Unfortunately, we are unable to do this at our range.

Our Rules...

Trap and Skeet        
Eye and Ear protection is mandatory for all shooters.
Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
Never place a loaded shell in any chamber until you're ready to shoot.
Never aim a gun at anyone.
Always check your chamber and always have your gun with the chamber OPEN at all times.
Never carry a gun over your shoulder with the barrel pointed behind you.
Never point or swing your gun in the club house or outside.
No alcohol beverages may be consumed until your shooting is complete.
Range Officers will have full authority on the field.
Never turn around while shooting or point a gun over your shoulder.
Guns MUST always point toward the trap house.
Always turn to the right when moving from post 5 to post 1 and walk behind your squad.
Be absolutely sure your gun is unloaded.
No shot larger than 7 1/2 is allowed.
ALWAYS THINK SAFETY!! The Minocqua Gun Club will not be responsible for any accidents caused by rule infractions.
Must be at least 18 years old or have a valid hunter safety certificate to shoot at our club.

Rifle/Pistol Range
Every user must be a member.  Please do not bring guests.
Family memberships include spouse/partner and DEPENDENT children only. 
Do not shoot in rapid fire or over the berms.  
Paper targets only please.
Be respectful and clean up after yourself.
Please follow posted hours and rules.  
DO NOT SHARE GATE LOCK CODE!  Infraction will lead to permanent loss of membership.
Be safe!  Have fun!
