Whether you're a beginner or an experienced clay shooter, Minocqua Gun Club has something to offer you.The public is welcome to shoot at our facility. Stop by and check us out! If your group is planning a visit to the Minocqua area and looking for an activity that everyone can participate in, we'd be glad to host your outing. Eye and Ear protetion is mandatory for all shooters.
Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
Never place a loaded shell in any chamber until you're ready to shoot.
Never aim a gun at anyone.
Always check your chamber and always have your gun with the chamber OPEN at all times.
Never carry a gun over your shoulder with the barrell pointed behind you.
Never point or swing your gun in the club house or outside.
We sell beer at the club house.
No other beer or alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
No alcohol beverages may be consumed until your shooting is complete.
Range Officers will have full authority on the field.
Never turn around while shooting or point a gun over your shoulder.
Guns MUST always point toward the trap house.
Always turn to the right when moving from post 5 to post 1 and walk behind your squad.
Be absolutely sure your gun is unloaded.
No shot larger than 7 1/2 is allowed.
ALWAYS THINK SAFETY!! The Minocqua Gun Club will not be responsible for any accidents caused by rule infractions.
Must be at least 18 years old or have a valid hunter safety certificate to shoot at our club.
Summer League Starting May 26 at 5:00
* 4 to 5 person squads/teams. There are teams trying to form that don't have enough people, so if you are interested, please come and we'll put the teams together. If you can't make it and want to shoot, just email us your name and phone number and someone will give you a call.
* The league will run 14 weeks on Tuesdays from May 26 to August 25. The annual meeting and picnic will be on Sept. 1.
* The cost per week is now $12 per week for a total for the season of $168. The season payment is expected on the first night. If you have trouble doing this, please see one of the board members to make special arrangements. Remember, you must be a member to shoot. If you haven't renewed your membership yet, you must also do that on Tuesday.
* Your team will also need a sponsor. This is a $30 one time fee. Many business will sponsor a team. If you can't find one, you can split it amongst your team mates for $6 each.
*Reminder...the clubhouse is closed for safety reasons. It will only open for bathroom emergencies, etc. otherwise the doors will be locked. All business will be conducted through a window facing the trap field. CLUBHOUSE HOURS FOR TRAP AND SKEET The club house will be closed to all except working board members. Business will be conducted through a window facing the trap field. Masks and 6 feet social distancing are recommended when not shooting.
May through October
Sunday from Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
RIFLE/PISTOL RANGE HOURS:
Monday: 10-6 (or until dusk)
Wednesday: 10-6 (or until dusk)
Friday: 10-6 (or until dusk)
Saturday: 10-6 (or until dusk)
The skeet field and rifle range are not plowed in the winter.
Latest News... Summer League There will be a meeting Tuesday, May 12 at 5:00 pm at the gun club. If you are interested in joining the league, please attend. Junior Trap and Hunter Safety These are on hold for now. Please stay tuned! Price Changes Shooting costs have gone up from $4 to $5 for members and from $6 to $8 for non-members per round of trap or skeet. This means shooting cards for members will go from $72 to $92. League costs have also gone up. Weekly costs have risen from $10 to $12.
